The increase in sales was the continued increase in voice revenues mainly, mainly due to traffic growth with an increase of 60 percent data revenue, the operator said in a press release.
The number of Banglalink data users grew by 6 percent during this period.
Data consumption increased by 178 percent, with the support of 3G coverage and the penetration of smartphones.
“The main operational objective in the quarter, the SIM card verification program was underway,” the statement said.
“This initiative audit to develop a solid and secure base new revenue streams for mobile financial services in connection with our customers in the digital strategy,” he added.
